Price Transparency

We sell four basic products, CPU, RAM, Storage and Bandwidth. We price all of them in easy to understand units and let customers pay for what they use. We don’t bundle resources together and our minimum billing period is just 5 minutes. We are constantly looking for ways to make our product more transparent and applicable to users. Eliminate, Minimise, Offset

From its first inception CloudSigma has aimed to minimise its environmental impact. Cloud computing offers the world a more efficient computing model. We compliment this by choosing locations with efficient green electricity grids; we also use modern data centres and new efficient power saving servers. Finally we offset all emissions resulting from our cloud. All our computing resources are carbon neutral. Our mantra is Eliminate, Minimise and Offset. Data Control

It is your data, you should know where its stored and how it is protected! All customer data is stored on our servers at Glattbrugg near Zurich, Switzerland. We never transfer or copy client information from our primary location. All client data is therefore protected by Switzerland’s stringent data protection and privacy laws. In addition, all client disk drives can be stored encrypted on our drives using a 256bit AES encryption cascade unlike many other vendors who store such data unencrypted. We take the integrity and security of all our clients’ data extremely seriously.

Collaboration

Cloud computing and Instrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) offers a huge opportunity for people to innovate and work in new and better ways! Through the community aspects of our product we aim to let users discuss new and exciting ways of using our platform as well as sharing useful tips and experiences with each other. Everyone is out there innovating and trying new things in the cloud, why not share and discuss it? Cloud computing doesn’t have to be lonely experience!

Flexibility

We’ve strived to make our cloud one of the most flexible out there and we continue to look for new ways to make it more flexible in response to user feedback. One of the key advantages of Infrastructure-as-a-Service is the extra flexibility it extends to users. We’ve removed many of the artificial constraints imposed on some other services allowing our customers to choose exactly what they wish to purchase and for how long. This eliminates waste, reduces the cost of the service and makes users of our cloud more competitive.

Reliability

Our cloud is used by many different customers for different purposes including many mission critical ones. Users come to rely on the availability of our service which is why we strive to provide a service which is robust, stable and dependable. We are very transparent about our performance and availability track record.

Utility Computing

We aim to offer a service that matches as closely as possible the promises of utility computing. We are striving to turn traditional notions of computing resources on their heads by allowing our customers to treat computing as a utility in much the same way as electricity or water. By allowing our customers to have on tap the capacity they need when they need it and to only pay for what they use, we believe we are going a long way to fulfilling this model.

Privacy

All our customers benefit from the strict and well established data protection and privacy laws in force for Switzerland. All client data is kept on our servers in Glattbrugg near Zurich, Switzerland. As a company we never transfer client data out of our cloud. All data both client records and client data in the cloud come under our privacy policy; you can read this in full at the CloudSigma privacy policy page. We also take additional steps to protect client data in the cloud by providing the option of encrypting all client disk data with a 256 bit AES encryption cascade where it is stored on the physical hard disks.

We believe that by keeping our service as open and flexible as possible, we enable our customers to innovate. By not imposing pre-conceived ideas of what and how we believe our customers should use our Infrastructure-as-a-Service product, we believe we give customers the freedom to create a solution that is tailored to their needs as well as enabling them to create new ways of working.

Simplicity

We believe cloud computing is essentially a simple concept and should be kept easy to use and understand. Unfortunately cloud computing has become loaded and overly reliant on buzz words and terminology; likewise many services present users with new terms where existing ones already exist! Our aim wherever possible is to use the simplest approach and employ easy to understand terminology from the existing technology lexicon.
